Epic Mickey 2 Nunchuk

Epic Mickey 2

Bring Epic Mickey The POWER OF TWO game to life with this light-up, Paintbrush for Wii. This collectible is modeled after Mickey’s Paintbrush in the game. The brush tip will change color from blue to green depending on whether Mickey is using paint or thinner just like it does on screen. Works like a Nunchuk when playing Epic Mickey The POWER OF TWO.

PlayStation 3 Black ops II controller

Produced by Bluemouth Interactive their officially licensed Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 PS3 controller was released in 2013. This one has a great light up effect, but unfortunately, that’s where its greatness ends. The buttons on the right (Triangle, Circle, Square and X) are much smaller than a standard controller’s equivalent buttons, the controller itself times out after what seems to be about five minutes (which becomes inconvenient during a game with extended cut-scenes as it’ll stop the game to ask for the controller to be reconnected. But these controllers even new are cheap so as a stand by controller there not great just OK

uDraw GameTablet

The uDraw GameTablet is a graphics tablet released by THQ for the Wii in 2010, and for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in 2011. It has a pressure-sensitive stylus which allows users to draw and view their creations on screen. The tablet is motion-sensitive through either the Wii Remote or internal accelerometers, which lets users tilt and roll the tablet for various changes in gameplay.

Wii Draw

Wii uDraw

The initial white version of the device was introduced exclusively for the Wii on November 14, 2010. Later black-coloured versions for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Wii were released a year later on November 15, 2011. The Wii uDraw GameTablet is bundled with an art-based video game, uDraw Studio, while the uDraw GameTablet for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 comes with uDraw Studio: Instant Artist. Additional titles include uDraw Pictionary, Disney Princess: Enchanting Storybooks, Marvel Super Hero Squad: Comic Combat, The Penguins of Madagascar: Dr. Blowhole Returns – Again!, SpongeBob SquigglePants and Dood’s Big Adventure.

While the initial release of the device for the Wii met with some success, THQ’s expanded release of the uDraw for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 has been described as a “disaster”. THQ’s Chief Financial Officer described 1.4 million unsold units as the primary reason for a revenue shortfall of around $100 million.

THQ discontinued production of the tablet in early February 2012. “THQ has no future commitments or plans to manufacture uDraw hardware,” the company told investors. “THQ’s strategy is to focus on its premium core and fighting franchises and to expand its digital revenues.” Following the eventual collapse of THQ in December 2012, former company president Jason Rubin described the uDraw as one of the “massive mistakes” which had led to the company’s demise.

Non analog White Playstation controller

Standard PlayStation pad but in white class this as a semi rare pad. No analog sticks no rumble nothing really outstanding about this controller really except it’s not grey and that’s a big think that’s why I like this controller it’s the first controller really sold as a stand-alone controller that was different to the console it supported.  There had been controller of different colour to original release but this is really the first official stand-alone controller released

Wii Balance board

Wii Balance board

Wii Balance board

Introduced on July 11, 2007 at 3E the Wii balance board was a direct response to kids getting fat playing console games

The Wii Balance Board is shaped like a standard bathroom scale, with a plain white top and light grey bottom or totally black for the Wii black version. It runs on four AA batteries as a power source, which can power the board for about 60 hours. The board uses Bluetooth technology and contains four pressure sensors that are used to measure the user’s centre of balance—the location of the intersection between an imaginary line drawn vertically through the centre of mass and the surface of the Balance Board—and weight. In an interview conducted by gaming web site IGN, Shigeru Miyamoto stated that the Balance Board’s ability to measure weight is probably more accurate than that of a typical bathroom scale. Although the Japanese packaging states that it is designed to support people weighing up to 136 kilograms (300 pounds) and the “Western” Balance Board up to 150 kg (330 pounds), they are actually the same board. The packaging differs due to regulatory differences between Japan and the United States. The sensors on the board can accurately measure up to 150 kg (330 pounds). The actual physical structure of the board can withstand much greater force equivalent to around 300 kg (660 pounds). Due to the similarities between the two products, the Wii Balance Board has been compared to the Joyboard, a peripheral released for the Atari VCS in 1982 by Amiga Corporation. The technology in the Joyboard was less advanced than that in the Wii Balance Board, with four directional switches instead of pressure sensors. The manual says that the Balance Board should only be used on a hard surface or thin carpet, as thicker or softer surfaces may cause the board to operate incorrectly. A set of foot extensions is available to allow the board to be used on softer surfaces. The extension feet are included with some versions of the Balance Board, but not in European versions. The balance board should be used with the players’ bare feet; players who wear socks may not properly grip the hard surface, and can create a danger. Novelty Wii Fit non-skid socks, which use small rubber pads that stick to surfaces, were provided to members of Club Nintendo.

Fitting a transforming D pad to a standard 360 controller

So was asked to go into detail on fitting a transforming D pad onto a standard 360 controller, one which had a standard D pad. So here goes

Start point (love the purple)

Start point (love the purple)

take appart controller and remove D pad ( see Third Party shell on an original Xbox 360 controller step by step instructions on my blog for more detail)

Great care should be taken at this point only cut out the flat section of plastic and not the sides you will find once the section is removed the two sides line up to form a small tube

The transforming D pad (purchased off eBay 0.99p)

The D pad has additional lugs on it the controller shell needs to be cut to fit these lugs in see pic
